{allcanada} Bernard rink to part ways

SKECHERS

CALGARY -- The Olympic silver medal-winning team skipped by Cheryl Bernard will part ways at the end of the curling season.

Bernard, third Susan O'Connor, second Carolyn Darbyshire and lead Cori Morris have competed together for six seasons.

The team issued a news release today to announce they'll be moving in a new direction.

Darbyshire says it would be tough to duplicate the experience of the last six years, so as a team, they'd like to go out on top as great friends.

They will finish out the season at the Grand Slam Grey Power Players' Championships in Grande Prairie, Alta., this April.

The release says they are not ruling out competitive curling next season with different teams, but there are no firm plans at the present time.
