[SurroundSound] Re: DTS-HD Master Audio

I'm not doing any bitstreaming to a receiver. May possibly do so in
the future, but for now I'm looking for a PC software solution or a
way to convert DTS-HDMA to MLP for writing to DVD-A.
Some say convert to flac others say there is no good way to do so
except this cobble-up with EAC3TO and TMT. I tried the later, but it
will not work on my Win7 x 64 PC. The TMT drivers are prevented from
working due to their incompatibility with this o/s.

I got the DTS-HD stream player and it is quite good at conversions,
but it will not actually play the native DTS-HD on my system. This is
due to me having superior ASIO drivers (from my half decent M-Audio
sound card) installed & used in all other software on this PC but DTS-
HD Stream Player will not see them. It looks only for the less
adequate ASIO4ALL drivers.

I don't think dBpoweramp nor Xrecode both of which I can usually rely
on to transcode pretty much anything will even see DTS-HD. EAC3TO
seems to be very handy in the hands of those who have mastered its
convolutions, but I find it a PITA to use. However maybe I need to
take a day out, to sit with it and finally get to grips with it, but
that is pointless without the TMT workaround, which is useless on my
PC.

Any advice otherwise on how to make best use of the emerging DTS-HD
with my current set-up?
