RE: [SurroundSound] Re: same old story, hoping for different ending this time

Only from the PC; to me for such an expensive piece of kit it is a design
oversight, but then when I read the forums AV AV'ers want to let the
receiver control the works and it appears most network boxes work this way
to an AV receiver - DNLA is the problem - DRM compliancy once more killing
the experience. Some guys on this group may have some better points of view
that can help you.
In response to your last email it is normally small phono like connector
(co-ax) or a small black socket on the back of a soundcard output

You wrote If I
was you I would dispense with the network bit and connect a digital input to
it (S/PDIF) and download one of the players above. You will then be able to
use flac and etc.

Do you mean connect a digital connector from computer to marantz? Then will
I still be able to use the marantz remote to control the operation of the
computer files if I download foobar or winamp?

Will these programs solve the sorting problem I mentioned in being able to
quickly locate material?
