{allcanada} 90210's Shenae Grimes Not on John Mayer's Wish List

Could there be a woman in Hollywood John Mayer hasn't set his sights on?

Shenae Grimes, the 21-year-old star of the CW's 90210, took to Twitter last week to clear up some tabloid rumors that she's the object of a certain singer's affection...

"According to Star Magazine John Mayer and I are in secret sexy cahoots. How wonderful for me. If wonderful meant embarrassing," Grimes tweeted Wednesday, not exactly thrilled by the report.

When that failed to satisfy followers who continued to speculate whether she and the 33-year-old Mayer were getting cozy, the Canadian actress clarified what she meant.

"It was a joke tweeples," Grimes added. "As in ha ha not for serious. Geeez Hollywood gossip, there's much more exciting things to rag on."

Like her hipper-than-thou use of social networking terminology.

The Toronto native, who got her start playing Darcy Edwards on Degrassi: The Next Generation, is set to make a cameo in the upcoming horror flick Scream 4.
