Past honorees have included Hillary Clinton and Tipper Gore. . . . Actor Corey Feldman has taken aim at the Screen Actors Guild Awards organizers for omitting his late pal Corey Haim from their 2011 In Memoriam tribute during the telecast on Sunday night.
The Lost Boys star was stunned when his friend, who died last year, wasn't mentioned in the annual tribute to actors who had passed away in the previous 12 months.
And he can only imagine the organizers decided not to include him.
He says, "We have become used to not being honoured by our peers in the industry."
Feldman is now hoping his late pal isn't ignored when the Oscars air later this month.
He adds, "I have faith the Academy will make a wiser choice."

Sitting four points out of first place at the All-Star break probably isn't a huge surprise for the Montreal Canadiens.
The Washington Capitals, however, weren't expecting to occupy the same position in the Southeast Division.
After a disappointing first half, the Capitals hope to fire up their inconsistent offense and claim another victory over visiting Montreal as they return to the ice Tuesday night.
Washington's offensive struggles can, by some measure, be traced back to the Canadiens. After leading the NHL in scoring by a wide margin during the 2009-10 regular season, the top-seeded Capitals lost to Montreal in the first round of the playoffs, scoring one goal in each of the final three games to squander a 3-1 series lead.
This season, Washington (27-15-9) ranks tied for 17th at 2.71 goals per game, with superstar Alex Ovechkin(notes) on pace for career lows in goals and points. While implementing a more defensive-minded approach, the Capitals have scored two or fewer goals 24 times, something that happened 16 times all of last season.
They suffered their seventh shutout Wednesday at Atlanta, losing 1-0 despite outshooting the Thrashers 36-24.
"If you can't score, you can't score," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "It wasn't for lack of effort. Our power play was good. We just can't score goals right now. We're trying so hard, but we can't score goals."
Ovechkin won his third straight breakaway challenge at the skills competition in Raleigh over the weekend, but scoring in regulation has been a far more difficult task. He has a league-high 234 shots on goal, but his 19 goals are half of NHL leader Steven Stamkos'(notes) total.
Stamkos has helped the resurgent Tampa Bay Lightning set the pace in the Southeast, which Washington won by 38 points in 2009-10.
Ovechkin had an empty-net goal against Montreal on Dec. 28, helping the Capitals claim a 3-0 victory in the first meeting since their playoff collapse.
"It was last season," Ovechkin said. "Right now, it's a different year and a different season."
Washington's Semyon Varlamov(notes) had 25 saves in that game. While he has lost four straight starts, Varlamov is 4-3-2 with a 1.73 goals-against average since Christmas.
After trading away Capitals nemesis Jaroslav Halak(notes) over the summer, Montreal (27-18-5) has relied heavily on goaltender Carey Price(notes) all season. Price is tied for second in the NHL with 24 wins and ninth with a 2.36 GAA, but he's 2-3-3 with a 3.44 GAA in his career against Washington, including postseason.
Price and the Canadiens entered the All-Star break on a sour note after last Tuesday's 5-2 loss at Philadelphia, but they're still 7-2-3 in their last 12 to stay in playoff position and within striking distance of Northeast Division-leading Boston.
"(Last Tuesday) was a big game and a big loss," Montreal captain Brian Gionta(notes) said. "But we're up to the break now, and we'll just have to use that our advantage, and then come back, ready to go."
Michael Cammalleri(notes) seems unlikely to be ready to face Washington. The forward, who ranks second on the Canadiens with 31 points and had 10 against the Capitals in the playoffs, has missed the last three games with a separated shoulder.
Washington may have Alexander Semin(notes) (groin) back in the lineup for the first time since Jan. 8. Semin, who scored 40 goals last season but hasn't found the net since Nov. 28, signed a one-year contract extension Thursday.

The All-Star break couldn't have come at a better time for Phil Kessel(notes) and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kessel even got a new car out of the weekend.
Unfortunately, both Kessel's Leafs and the Florida Panthers have spent much of the season stuck in neutral.
Toronto and Florida will each seek an improved second half beginning Tuesday night, when they face off against each other at the Air Canada Centre.
It's been seven years since the Maple Leafs appeared in the postseason, while Florida hasn't taken the ice for a playoff game since 2000. Neither drought appears likely to end in 2010-11, with the Panthers (22-22-5) eight points out of a playoff spot and Toronto (19-25-5) six points further back.
Despite his team's lackluster performance, Panthers president Michael Yormark is at least publicly putting a happy face on the season.
"I'm extremely proud of our organization's accomplishments thus far in 2010-11 but there is more work to be done," Yormark said on the team's official website. "We're going to work hard through the rest of the regular season, the postseason, the offseason and into next year's training camp, to build on these positives, while creating new successes and achievements for this franchise."
While the Panthers didn't have an All-Star this season, the Maple Leafs had the final player selected in the first NHL All-Star fantasy draft. As a reward for waiting, Kessel received a new car, $20,000 to donate to a cancer charity and a large number of text messages from his Toronto teammates.
"They were all just excited about the car," Kessel told the Leafs' official website. "They're all on trips and stuff. I was supposed to go with a bunch of guys on vacation. They're all happy for me. We've got a great team in Toronto."
That team hasn't played great lately, entering the break with three consecutive losses and six defeats in seven games. The slump has coincided with a seven-game goal-scoring drought for Kessel, who ranks second on Toronto with 19 goals.
Kessel put six shots on net but failed to convert last Tuesday, when the Leafs fell 2-0 at Tampa Bay for their eighth shutout loss of the season.
Kessel had a goal in Toronto's 3-1 home victory over the Panthers on Oct. 26, when Jean-Sebastian Giguere stopped 21 shots to earn the win. Florida returned the favor Nov. 10, beating the Maple Leafs 4-1 at home behind Tomas Vokoun's(notes) 32-save effort.
Vokoun is 8-3-2 with a 2.07 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in his career versus Toronto.
The veteran netminder gave a valiant performance with 33 saves in his team's final game before the break, but got outdueled by Bruins All-Star Tim Thomas(notes) in a 2-1 loss at Boston last Wednesday.
Bryan Allen's(notes) fourth goal provided the only offense for Florida, which has dropped five of six overall and will be playing the fourth of six consecutive road games Tuesday. The Panthers haven't played a home game since Jan. 21 and won't take the ice in South Florida again for another week. They are 11-14-0 on the road.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Roy Hibbert had 24 points and 11 rebounds to help Indiana beat the Toronto Raptors 104-93 Monday night in Frank Vogel's debut as Pacers interim coach.
The 37-year-old Vogel replaced Jim O'Brien, who was fired on Sunday. Vogel said he would allow Hibbert to play through his mistakes, and the seven-foot-two centre rewarded his new coach with his highest-scoring game since Nov. 28.
Darren Collison and Paul George scored 16 points and Tyler Hansbrough added 14 as the Pacers extended Toronto's losing streak to 12 games. The Raptors gave up 100 or more points for the eighth straight contest.
Amir Johnson led Toronto with 18 points, and Jose Calderon and Ed Davis added 13. Andrea Bargnani, Toronto's leading scorer this season, finished with 12 points on 3-for-15 shooting.
An off night by Danny Granger, Indiana's top scorer, didn't slow the Pacers. Granger scored 11 points, but the Pacers outrebounded the Raptors 56-38 to make up for committing 25 turnovers.
Indiana led 48-28 in the second quarter before the Raptors went on a 13-0 run that helped them trim the Pacers' advantage to 51-45 at halftime.
Toronto scored the first six points of the second half to tie the score at 51, but Hibbert made two straight baskets to give Indiana the lead again. Granger scored seven points in a run that pushed the Pacers' lead to 67-59. The Pacers led 75-70 at the end of the third quarter.
Hibbert scored in close, then made two free throws to extend Indiana's lead to 91-82 with just under six minutes remaining. A long pass from Josh McRoberts turned into a dynamic one-handed alley-oop jam by George that pushed the lead to 11 points.
The crowd, sparse because of a winter storm, gave the Pacers two standing ovations in the final minute.
Notes: Attendance was officially 10,258, but far fewer than that number actually showed up. ... Indiana shot 57 per cent in the first quarter to lead 32-21. ... Toronto missed all four of its three-point tries in the first half and made just one in the game. ... Pacers G Brandon Rush sat out with a sprained right ankle. ... Hansbrough played after missing the past two games with pneumonia.

A day after a CBC/NHLPA player poll indicated that Ron Wilson was the coach that NHL players would least like to play for, members of the Maple Leafs organization stepped in to defend their beleaguered bench boss.
"The evidence says otherwise and it wasn't because we could offer more money because on the younger guys, we couldn't. It was a level playing field and they chose Toronto and to play for (Ron Wilson)," said GM Brian Burke. "Ron has 600 NHL wins, he won a World Cup and has a silver medal from the Olympics."
In the survey of 318 NHL players, Wilson was named by 24 percent of players as the coach they did not want to play in front of, the highest percentage received by any single coach.
Leafs assistant coach Tim Hunter downplayed the survey, saying Wilson's credentials alone were enough to dispel any such negative notions.
"Ron's record, his coaching, speaks for itself," said Hunter. "600 wins, 1,300 games coached, Canada Cup, silver medal in the Olympics. Our guys like playing for Ron."
Leafs forwad Kris Versteeg said the bright spotlight that is constantly on Wilson in hockey-mad Toronto made for a more critical perception of the 55-year-old Windsor, Ontario native.
"You're in everyone's face every day, and every team in the league gets to see every single interview you do. Obviously it's easy to scrutinize guys a little bit more," said Versteeg. "It's been good so far, me and him, we have a good relationship. I'm sure he does with a lot of other guys in the room too."
Clarke MacArthur, who leads the team in scoring with 40 points in 49 games, seconded Versteeg's "overexposure" theory.
"I like playing for him. I think a lot of it's because he gets so much air time here too. He can be sarcastic and stuff like that," said MacArthur. "He's been great for me here, and I know obviously guys like him here and that's all I can really say about that."
The Leafs, as a team, ranked fourth-last in the survey as a franchise to play for full-time.
"All I know is we haven't had any problems attracting free agents, both veteran players and entry-level guys," said Burke. "We have had eight experienced unrestricted free agents (such as Francois Beauchemin and MacArthur) sign here to play for Ron. Thirty teams were after Tyler Bozak, lots of teams wanted (Jonas Gustavsson). These kids and many others chose to be here. I could go on and on."
Burke also did not seem particularly thrilled that the "coach" question had been part of an NHLPA-sanctioned survey.
"I don't imagine (the players/NHLPA) would be too happy if the general managers got together and voted on which players aren't earning their salaries and who is the most overrated player or anything along those lines and then announced it as from the GMs or the league," he said. "I don't think that would go over too well (with the NHLPA)."
The Leafs have lost three consecutive games and are 19-25-5, which has them sitting 12th in the Eastern Conference with 43 points. They play the Florida Panthers on Tuesday in their first game back after the All-Star break.
