Re: [SurroundSound] Your experiences in receivers

@grill
Pay attention with Pioneer receivers....not every Pioneer you can find in Hungary decodes the whole range of br audio streams...in this case you'll use a player that is able to decode all streams and sends pcms thru the hdmi output to your receiver.
As for 3d br player,pay attention to have at least a 1.3 hdmi out along with a 1.4 hdmi output.Why?
"Cause you'l use the 1.3 hdmi to send audio to your receiver and the 1.4 hdmi  to send video to your 3d led tvset[refresh rate 120hz].So you don't have to use a 1.4 hdmi capable receiver....Don't forget your glasses   :).
Have a nice day,
M

I'm facing the possibility of buying a 3D capable receiver at an
affordable price. My other extra need would be DSD decoding. I've
looked up the following receivers selling at similar prices in
Hungary:

Denon AVR-1611
Pioneer VSX-820 or 920
Sony STR-DH810
Onkyo TX-SR578
Yamaha RX-V567 (RX-A700)

At the moment I'm ogling the Onkyo and the Yamaha (A700 is not yet
selling in Hungary). If you have experiences in any of these receivers
or other advice please post it here.
