{allcanada} WHL: HONEJSEK, HEEMSKERK LEAD WARRIORS OVER RAIDERS

Antonin Honejsek scored the only goal in a shootout and Thomas Heemskerk made 45 saves as the Moose Jaw Warriors beat the Prince Albert Raiders 5-4 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.

Dylan McIlrath, Danny Gayle, Nathan MacMaster and Morgan Rielly scored in regulation for Moose Jaw (5-8-0), which came back from 3-1 deficit.

Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Kootenay 3 Calgary 0; Chilliwack 2 Edmonton 1; Vancouver 5 Lethbridge 2; Wheat kings 6 Blazers 4; and Spokane 7 Prince George 3.

At Prince Albert, Sask., Sebastian Svendsen had two goals and an assist for Prince Albert, while Jonathan Parker had a goal and two assists and Igor Revenko also scored.

Jamie Tucker made 35 stops for the Raiders (5-7-3).

At Calgary, Nathan Lieuwen stopped all 22 shots he faced to backstop Kootenay to a win over the Hitmen.

At Lethbridge, Alta., Michael Burns had a goal and an assist and Brendan Jensen made 25 saves as Vancouver beat the Hurricanes.

At Kamloops, B.C., Shayne Wiebe, Travis Swyripa, Ryan Pulock and Brodie Melynchuk had first-period goals and Brandon held on to beat the Blazers.

At Spokane,Wash., Brenden Kichton had a short-handed goal and two assists as the Chiefs defeated Prince George.
