OTTAWA -- Retired hockey star Mario Lemieux and former prime minister Kim Campbell are getting the Order of Canada today.
They are among 53 people being formally invested in a ceremony at Rideau Hall, home of the Governor General.
Campbell will become a companion of the order, its highest grade.
Lemieux is being invested as an officer, the second-highest grade.
Others being honoured include Ivan Reitman, who directed Ghostbusters, rocker Burton Cummings, former Manitoba premier Gary Filmon, former Nova Scotia premier John Hamm and Alexa McDonough, federal NDP leader from 1995 to 2003.
Operatic tenor Ben Heppner, actress Tantoo Cardinal and Montreal Canadiens president Pierre Boivin are also being invested.
