Quarterback Buck Pierce will return under centre this week for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Bombers are hoping Pierce can help bring an end to their four-game losing streak when they face the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Sunday at 4pm et/1pm pt on TSN and TSN HD.
Both Pierce and his backup Steven Jyles have missed time recently due to knee and rib injuries, respectively. While Pierce may not be back to full health, he will get the call in Saskatchewan over Jyles.
In four games this season, Pierce has thrown for 837 yards, adding six touchdowns and three interceptions. Meanwhile Jyles has been active for all eight games, throwing for 1,279 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Bombers are 2-6 and sitting at the bottom of the CFL's East Division.
