{allcanada} 'Canadian Idol' auditionee Khuram Sher detained in terrorism investigation

A "Canadian Idol" auditionee has been detained in a terrorism investigation, reports the Toronto Star.

Khuram Sher was arrested as part of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police national security investigation, as the RCMP look into a possible terrorism cell allegedly plotting to attack targets at home.

Sher auditioned for "Canadian Idol" back in 2008, telling the judges he was from Pakistan, was a fan of hockey, music and acting and regaling them with a terrible version of Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" and a moonwalk. Watch his audition video below.
