some days ago I bought a streaming-client, "Seagate FreeAgent Theater
Plus" (FAT+).
Now I tried to playback DTS-WAVs (5.1 16/44.1) and and some
multichannel-FLACs.
Because I don´t have a receiver with HDMI, I connected this client via
optical output to the receiver.
I the setting I used "digital output RAW" (not LPCM). But there is
nothing out from the rear-speakers and the receiver doesn´t shot "DTS"
as it does with my DVD-Player if I playback a DTS-CD.
Does anyone has experience with that or similar streaming-clients?
How does it there work?
I´m not willing to buy a new receiver with HDMI at this time.
I´ve sent a call to Seagate too, but there came no answer ...
Thanks,
razi
