Re: [SurroundSound] Some of the data is found in WAV format - how to convert to CD/DVD?

Hmm. To stay linux only?

If you wish to make a DVD that will play in a DVD video player, you can try
using 'aften' to encode ac3 from the wav files.

http://aften.sourceforge.net/

or 'ffmpeg'

http://www.ffmpeg.org/

You should be able to then author a DVD-video using the tools available for Linux. Google
is your friend.

If you wish to make a DVD-a you can use 'DVD-audio Tools' to author a DVD-a directly from
the wavs provide the bitrate doesn't exceed 9.6 Mb/s. With 4 ch wavs this may be ok.

Hope this helps.
