So why did P Tree and KC issues DVD-As then or DVD-As with DTS on board, it's not exactly rocket science?

Because no one actually has DVD-A players... (yeah some of us do, but some of us still have laserdisc too...)  What other real option is there in a format that can be open to everyone?  Bluray or a Data layer with flac files.
