Oh dear, just repeating stephen's idea. What i mean is (and here comes an old adage) if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well. it's at least worth the attempt?
Here's an off the wall idea.....how about attempting to syncing up the decoded audio to the video from a dvd? It's a real shame the DVD has the audio in AC3/2.0The perfect version?--Of course its really SQ, its labeled right on the box "An SQ/TATE System Surround Sound Recording".

Obviously the video won't stand up to a pro release, but I doubt its worth the time to sync the audio to the DVD footage. I personally see no reason to decode the audio and not at least have the option to watch it with the video as well. Obviously this is a matter of whether interest meets opportunity. Thanks for the input.
