OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Senators have hired Rick Wamsley as goaltending coach.
General manager Bryan Murray made the announcement Wednesday.
Wamsley spent the last four seasons with the St. Louis Blues. The 51-year-old spent 43 games as interim head coach of the team's AHL affiliate last season, leading the Peoria Rivermen to a 17-20-6 record.
He also spent seven years as a goaltending coach and scout with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and worked as an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
As a goaltender, Wamsley won 204 games in 12 seasons in Montreal, St. Louis, Calgary and Toronto.
