what is the reason to Ddo that? DTS is a lossy format, a disadvantage against FLAC.
The only reason could be to make a standard DVD or DTS-CD.

Ali,

In saying "the only reason...", you are making big assumptions!

What about people like me who don't have modern multi-channel streaming equipment, and rely on stereo streaming devices like the Squeezebox?  DTS is the ONLY way I can listen to surround (ignoring the inferior Dolby Digital format!).

Sure, if I had deep pockets I could replace everything I have with a modern system (which comes, however, with its own disadvantages!), but this pensioner's pockets are not deep.

Daniel
