Ottawa Redblacks running back William Powell was placed on the six-game injured list on Wednesday.

Powell left Monday's pre-season game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on the team's first drive with an apparent leg injury.

In seven games last season, the 28-year-old Powell had 447 yards and two touchdowns on 76 carries
