Calle Jarnkrok will miss at least two weeks for the Maple Leafs with a groin injury.

The forward was injured in a 3-1 win against the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday. He played 9:04 before leaving in the second period and not returning.

"He's going to be at least two weeks and we'll kind of take it from there," coach Sheldon Keefe said. "He won't travel with us here, we'll see where he's at once we return and that will give us a better sense maybe of what it looks like beyond that."

Toronto begins a two-game road trip against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; NHLN, SN, BSSUN, SN NOW) and continues at the Dallas Stars on Tuesday.

Jarnkrok has nine points (five goals, four assists) in 25 games this season.

TJ Brodie will travel with the Maple Leafs on the road trip but is not expected to play. The defenseman has missed the past 10 games with an oblique injury.

"He's progressing well," Keefe said. "Not necessarily expecting him to play on this trip but we do have a practice day in Dallas and obviously morning skates, I think we will see him more involved in regular team activities."

Brodie has two assists in 15 games this season.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) Sam Bennett scored twice and the Florida Panthers ended a three-game skid with a 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.

Matthew Tkachuk added a goal and two assists, Gustav Forsling, Ryan Lomberg and Sam Bennett also scored and Spencer Knight made 31 saves.

Dakota Joshua scored for Vancouver.

Vancouver also lost starting goalie Thatcher Demko to a lower-body injury. The 26-year-old American stopped 15 of 18 shots in the first period before leaving.

Spencer Martin made 13 saves in relief.

A smattering of boos emanated from the crowd at Rogers Arena during the final seconds of the game. The jeers grew louder following the final whistle.

The Canucks held a pregame ceremony to honor three former players who were recently inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Former goalie Roberto Luongo and forwards Daniel and Henrik Sedin all stood at center ice, watching video highlights from their careers before taking part in a ceremonial puck drop.

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) Cole Caufield broke a third-period tie on a power play, Sean Monahan had two assists against his old team and the Montreal Canadiens beat the Calgary Flames 2-1 on Thursday night.

Rookie Juraj Slafkovsky, also scored for Montreal and Jake Allen made 45 saves. The Canadiens have won seven of 11.

Elias Lindholm scored for Calgary and Jacob Markstrom stopped 19 shots. The Flames are 1-3-1 in their last five.

Canadiens got a power play six minutes into the period when Andrew Mangiapane was sent off for roughing. He grabbed Josh Anderson from behind after the Montreal forward gave a fake cross-check to Markstrom while the two exchanged words after a whistle.

Montreal needed just 31 seconds to convert, with Caufield leaning into a one-timer after being set up on a cross-ice pass by Nick Suzuki.

Monahan was recognized with a video tribute during a first-period TV timeout and waved to the crowd as he was given a standing ovation.

He played 656 games over nine seasons with the Flames. Coming off his second hip surgery, he was traded to Montreal in the off-season.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and two assists to extend his career-best point streak to 10 games, and Joel Eriksson Ek added a goal and assist, leading the Minnesota Wild to a 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.

Kaprizov has a goal in four straight games after scoring his 14th of the season. He also has nine straight games with an assist, and 10 goals and 11 assists in his last 16 games.

Frederick Gaudreau, Sam Steel and Mats Zuccarello also scored for Minnesota, which has won four of five. Marc-Andre Fleury made 18 saves.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl extended goal streaks for Edmonton, which had won three in a row.

Draisaitl opened the scoring in the first period with his 16th goal, scoring for the fourth straight game. McDavid scored a goal for the third straight game.

Klim Koston scored with four seconds remaining and Jack Campbell stopped 25 shots for the Oilers.

Minnesota took two early penalties, a difficult task against Edmonton's sixth-ranked power-play unit.

The Wild killed off the first, but Draisaitl scored from a wide angle on the second power play, shooting before Fleury could get across the crease on the cross-ice pass.

The power play was important for both teams. Three of the first four goals in the game were with the man advantage.

Edmonton finished 1 of 3 on the power-play. Minnesota, which entered the game with the league's 13th-ranked power play, was 2 of 3.

Eriksson Ek scored with the man advantage just 1:51 into the second period, tying the game at 1. Kaprizov's initial shot was wide and bounced off the end boards right to Eriksson Ek.

McDavid had the first even-strength goal of the game for an Oilers' lead, but the Wild scored twice before the end of the period. Gaudreau's go-ahead goal was his fourth of the season with 6:01 left in the second.

After the early penalties, Minnesota clamped down on Edmonton's explosive offense. The Oilers had just 10 shots through two periods and were outshot 30-21 in the game.
