Adam Henrique wants to remain with the Edmonton Oilers.
The veteran forward hasn't told the organization that's he's willing to waive his trade protection, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.
Both the team and Henrique's agent have confirmed, Dreger adds.
The trade deadline is on Friday.

Henrique, 36, has struggled this season, netting two goals and eight assists over 46 games. He scored 12 goals and 15 assists over 81 games during the 2024-25 season, his first full campaign with the Oilers after they picked him up from the Anaheim Ducks ahead of the 2024 trade deadline.
Wednesday's game against the Ducks was Henrique's first game since Jan. 6 as he spent time on the long-term injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.
The Brantford, Ont., native is in the final season of a two-year, $6 million contract, featuring an average annual value of $3 million.
Edmonton has dropped two of their first three games since returning to action following the Olympic break. They sit third in the Pacific Division with a 29-24-8 record, one point ahead of the Seattle Kraken.
