Olivia Smith will not be at the SheBelieves Cup, Canada Soccer announced on Thursday.
The 21-year-old Arsenal forward has withdrawn from Casey Stone's squad with a concussion. Her spot will be taken by Denver Summit center-back Megan Reid.
Arsenal says that Smith will stay with the team and under the care of its medical staff during the international break.
A native of Toronto, Smith is in her first season with the Gunners after becoming the first-ever £1 million signing in women's football, joining from Liverpool. She has four goals in 12 Women's Super League matches this season. Smith has eight goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.
Canada Soccer's Young Player of the Year in both 2019 and 2024, Smith has four goals in 19 senior caps for the CanWNT.
The 30-year-old Reid is a native of Orinda, CA. She was eligible to represent Canada through her mother. The Virginia product has been capped three times.
Reid joined the expansion Summit on a three-year deal in November after spending the past four seasons at Angel City.
Canada opens up its SheBelieves Cup on Sunday against Colombia before matches against the host United States on Mar. 4 and versus Argentina on Mar. 7.
