{allcanada} NHL postpones nine more games due to Canadian attendance restrictions

The NHL has postponed nine additional games due to restricted attendance rules in Canadian cities.

The postponements include eight games in Canada, plus one game in Seattle between the Kraken and Islanders, which was postponed due to the fact the other three games on New York's trip through Western Canada were postponed.

All seven teams in Canada are playing under various levels of attendance restrictions imposed by provincial governments, from as low as zero per cent in Quebec to as high as 50 per cent in Alberta.

The NHL has now postponed more than 90 games due to COVID-19 concerns in Canada and the United States. However, two games hosted by the Toronto Maple Leafs -- on Jan. 1 against Ottawa and Jan. 5 against Edmonton -- remain on the schedule after, as Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports, the NHL gave the Maple Leafs a choice in whether those games would go ahead.

Below are the latest games postponed by the NHL.
