The Hamilton Tiger-Cats officially announced the club has signed All-Star wide receiver Brandon Banks to a two-year contract extension.

Banks had a career year for the Ticats last season despite missing the final four games due to injury, finishing with 94 receptions for 1,423 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The 31-year-old has spent his entire six-season CFL career with the Ticats. Banks started as primarily a special teams player, returning kickoffs and punts, but transitioned to a full-time receiver in 2017. Banks and quarterback Jeremiah Masoli developed an instant raport and Banks has had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
