HC at Noon conversation on Sam Bennett and Jake Virtanen, two players drafted early first round in 2014, who are not content with being bottom six players for the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks respectively.
Calgary Flames defenceman Michael Stone has been placed on injured reserve with a blood clot. There is no timeline for his recovery.
Stone's blood clot was discovered by the team on Thursday morning and general manager Brad Treliving says they will have more information over the next few days.
Michael Frolik is also on injured reserve after missing the Flames' 6-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night. He's been listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury and won't travel with the team on their upcoming road trip to Vegas and Arizona.
Sam Bennett, meanwhile, missed practice on Thursday but is fine after blocking a shot in Wednesday's win.

Defenceman Shea Weber could be back in the Montreal Canadiens' lineup on Tuesday, according to head coach Claude Julien.
Julien told reporters that if things continue the way they are, the Habs could activate Weber ahead of schedule for the home game against the Carolina Hurricanes. He hasn't played since Dec. 16, 2017 following a season-ending foot injury and off-season knee surgery. Weber has been skating and shooting pucks since the beginning of the week, but hasn't officially been cleared for contact yet.
Claude Julien affirme que si les choses continuent à bien aller comme présentement, Shea Weber pourrait revenir dans l'alignement dès mardi soir.

Currently on his third season with the Canadiens, Weber was held to just 26 games in 2017 due to a fractured foot, and finished the year with six goals and 10 assists. The 33-year-old had 17 goals and 25 assists (42 points) in 78 games in 2016.
His return will likely cause a logjam on defence, and general manager Marc Bergevin might be faced with some tough decisions.
