The Montreal Canadiens agreed to terms on a two-year, one way contract with defenceman Mark Barberio.
In his first season in the Habs organization in 2015-16, the Montreal native suited up for 30 NHL games, scoring twice while adding eight assists for a total of ten points.
The 26-year-old, whose season came to a close on March 19 due to a concussion, had started the campaign in the AHL with the St. John's IceCaps, where he had two goals and 20 points in 26 matches.
Before joining the Canadiens as an unrestricted free agent in July 2015, Barberio had previously spent the last five seasons in the Tampa Bay Lightning's organization.
