Anna Silk, star of Syfy's "Lost Girl," announced in a video posted to Twitter that her sci-fi series would end after five seasons.

"After five incredible seasons, we have decided that it's time for Bo's journey to come to an epic conclusion," she tells fans. "Being a part of the 'Lost Girl' family has truly been a gift."

The final season of the Canadian production, which airs first on Showcase Network in its native country, will consist of 16 episodes split into two parts, Silk says in her video.

"So while we might be saying goodbye, we'll be doing it with a bang," she says. Watch the heartfelt message below.
