TORONTO -- Evan Longoria drove in two runs, including the winner in the top of the 10th to lift the Tampa Bay Rays over the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 at Rogers Centre on Saturday.

Longoria sent a 1-2 pitch from recently recalled reliever Sergio Santos (0-3) into left field to score Ben Zobrist from third base.

Brad Boxberger pitched the bottom of the 10th for the save, Jake McGee threw two scoreless innings of relief for the win, and starting Chris Archer racked up six strikeouts through seven innings, allowing six hits, one walk and one run for the Rays (64-66).

Drew Hutchison threw six strong innings, giving up one run on six hits while striking out seven and walking two batters in the no-decision. Aaron Loup, Dustin McGowan, Casey Janssen and Brett Cecil combined on three scoreless frames.

Dioner Navarro had two hits for the Blue Jays (66-64) while Juan Francisco picked up an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

Toronto slugger Jose Bautista was ejected from the game after arguing a strikeout in his third at-bat. It was the fifth ejection for a Blue Jay this season, and first for a player.

With the strikeout, Bautista failed to reach base for the third straight game. The last time he was held off base for that long was a three-game span in Apr. 2012.

Santos -- who was pitching in his first major league game since July 12 -- walked Zobrist to lead off the 10th, and gave up a ground-rule double to Logan Forsythe to put runners on second and third with nobody out for Longoria.

The Blue Jays threatened in the bottom of the 10th as Francisco led off the inning with a single, advanced to second on an error to James Loney, and moved to third on a bunt base hit from Munenori Kawasaki. Jose Reyes fouled out, Melky Cabrera popped out and Nolan Reimold, in the game to replace Bautista, struck out to end the game.

The Rays got on the board in the first inning when Longoria grounded into a force-out, allowing Ben Zobrist to score from third base. Zobrist reached on a one-out double and got to third on a Hutchison wild pitch.

Toronto finally got to Archer in the seventh inning, tying the game 1-1 on a sacrifice fly from Francisco that scored Navarro from third base. Navarro started the rally with a one-out single, and advanced to third on a long base hit to right field from Colby Rasmus.

Both teams had plenty of chances to cash in more runs as Tampa left 10 on base while Toronto stranded eight.

The Rays' best scoring chance came in the top of the ninth when Wil Myers and Yunel Escobar hit back-to-back singles off Janssen with nobody out. Janssen's day ended after the next batter, Curt Casali hit a sac bunt to advance the runners 90 feet, but Cecil struck out the next two batters to end the inning, offering an emphatic fist pump as he walked off the field.

In the fifth, Tampa Bay had two on with one out after Hutchison allowed a single to Desmond Jennings and a walk to Zobrist. The Jays nearly escaped the inning when Matt Joyce appeared to hit into a 4-6-3 double play, but Rays manager Joe Maddon challenged the out call at first base and won. Hutchison promptly struck out Longoria on three pitches following the 45-second review to leave the runners aboard.

Hutchison also stranded a two-out double from Kevin Kiermaier in the second frame, striking out Desmond Jennings to keep the Rays at bay.

Toronto's best chance to score came in the bottom of the fifth. Navarro reached on a lead-off single -- just the third hit on the day for a Toronto batter -- and moved to third on a one-out double down the first-base line from Francisco. After a ground out from Kawasaki, Jose Reyes flied out to centre field to end the inning.

The Blue Jays also threatened in the bottom of the second when Adam Lind hit a lead-off double and advanced to third on Navarro's deep fly out to centre field. But Rasmus struck out on a check swing to end the inning.

NOTES: Attendance was announced at 38,869. ... Toronto optioned RHP Kyle Drabek to triple-A before the game to make room on the roster for RHP Sergio Santos. ... The Blue Jays continue their homestand with a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox starting Monday night. LHP J.A. Happ (8-8, 4.39 earned-run average) gets the start for Toronto while RHP Clay Buchholz (5-8, 5.94 ERA) starts for the Red Sox.
