Goaltender Karri Ramo and the Calgary Flames have come to terms on a multi-year contract.
According to reports, the 26-year-old Ramo is set to return to the NHL after spending the last four seasons playing with Omsk in the KHL.
The Flames are looking for goaltending depth as a result of Miikka Kiprusoff's murky future with the organization, and Ramo could contend to be the team's starting goalie in the 2013-14 season.
Ramo, a native of Asikkala, Finland, was selected in the sixth round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and spent parts of three seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning before heading overseas.
The contract between the two parties cannot be made official until July 5.
