Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray said Friday the ankle injury suffered by goalie Craig Anderson in Thursday night's game shouldn't be a long-term one, but that he's unlikely to play in the next three or four days, according to Sportsnet reporter Ian Mendes.

Mendes also reported that Anderson "was feeling pain in a different part of his ankle [Friday] morning than he was [Thursday] night," when Rangers forward Chris Kreider lost an edge while skating near Anderson's crease and took him out, leading to the injury.

Anderson had stopped all 21 shots he faced to that point. Ben Bishop relieved and eventually led the Senators to a 3-2 shootout win, stopping six of seven attempts by the Rangers in the tiebreaker.

The Senators, who host the Maple Leafs on Saturday and the Canadiens on Monday, also recalled goalie Robin Lehner from Binghamton of the American Hockey League.
