Re: [SurroundSound] Surround in the car

Dear flytomars,

wow... exactly same issues for me:
- I've an audiophile mchn system at home (that with two kids has become less usable...). Same walls structure and placement problems (impossible to place speakers distant from walls)...
- I'm convinced mchn audio is (for my "life use case") by far more usable in-car, where I pass a lot of time.
- I tried in many ways to upgrade the digital path of my Audi A4 Bang&Olufsen 11.1 sound system to support mchn FLACs, WAVs or whatever other mchn format, with no luck.  You can see here even my xCar trial to interface a Raspberry PI as car mediacenter (and it works, but not for mchn... I cannot find a way to interface the optical Audi MOST ring/interface - even Audi told me... impossible).
--> http://forum.stmlabs.com/showthread.php?tid=1788

Therefore... I had to go back to the unique mchn solution that my Audi B&O soundsystem digests: DTS files stored in custom-made DVDs...
(btw it's about 8yrs that I have an old 60GB hdd iPod in car and still works well for "only stereo" apple lossless music files... but I want mchn!)

So my only option (other than changing the car... but it won't happen in short;) is to burn DVD-DTS music disk...

--> Might you pls share with me an dvd .iso to test it, and help me finding out the best and easiest solution to create these disks? I've read a lot on the web, but found difficulties in burning DTS files... (and converting mchn flacs to dts).

Many thanks, ciao!
Gianluca
