Boston Bruins coach Claude Julien will be honored Wednesday by the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Julien coached the franchise when it was known as the Hull Olympiques, leading the team the Memorial Cup championship in 1997, his first season as coach. A banner will be unveiled at Robert Guertin Centre honoring the occasion.
Julien went 141-109-16 in 266 games coaching the Olympiques. He left in 2000 to coach the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
