The Edmonton Eskimos have named Kerry Joseph starting quarterback for Sunday's Eastern Semi-Final clash against the Argonauts in Toronto.

The 39-year-old is 4-1 in the playoffs, but hasn't been in the post-season since winning the 2007 Grey Cup with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

In 13 games this season, Joseph completed 153 of 254 passes for 2,187 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Edmonton has gone through three quarterbacks this year, beginning with Steven Jyles, who was acquired in the controversial off-season trade with the Argos for Ricky Ray. Jyles lost his job first through injury and then through production, when head coach Kavis Reed decided late in the season that Joseph gave the team a better chance to succeed.

He was relieved by Matt Nichols in the second half of the second-last game and then rested when the team had already clinched a playoff spot heading into the final game.

The Eskimos earned the cross-over playoff spot with their 7-11 record that was one game better than both the Tiger-Cats and Blue Bombers.

Catch all of Sunday's action between the Eskimos and Argonauts live on TSN and TSN Mobile TV at 12:30pm et/9:30am pt.
