{allcanada} OHL's Petes prank teammate, cops called

The Ontario Hockey League's Peterborough Petes learned a valuable lesson in the fine art of pranking last week.

Members of the Petes had a run in with the law Sept. 16 after they entered the billet house of a teammate while wearing masks and carrying fake guns.

Although the family knew of the prank beforehand, an unsuspecting neighbour did not and promptly called the police.

When the officers arrived at the Peterborough residence they drew their guns and ordered the players out of the house (presumably with their hands up).

According to the Peterborough Examiner, the officers weren't too pleased with the players' antics after learning it was all a joke and lectured them about the negative consequences that could have resulted from the situation.

In good-ol-Canadian-boy fashion, the players later went door-to-door and apologized to neighbours for the disturbance.
