CRANBROOK, B.C. -- Jennifer Jones defeated Chelsea Carey 9-4 to win the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling on Sunday.
The Winnipeg skip locked up a berth at the 2013 Olympic curling trials in Winnipeg with the victory.
It was the second Cup win for Jones and lead Dawn Askin, who also teamed to win the 2007 edition in Kamloops, B.C. It was the first Cup win for third Kaitlyn Lawes and second Joelle Sabourin.
Jones also earned invitations to next year's Canada Cup in Moose Jaw, Sask., and the 2013 Continental Cup in Penticton, B.C. Her rink earned $26,000 for the victory while Carey and her Morden, Man., rink settled for $16,000.
Glenn Howard of Coldwater, Ont., will take on Edmonton's Kevin Martin in the men's final later Sunday.
