Edmonton Eskimos assistant head coach and special teams co-ordinator Rick Campbell is in Calgary this weekend to interview for the vacant defensive co-ordinator's position.
Earlier this week, Chris Jones informed Stampeders head coach John Hufnagel that he was leaving his post as defensive co-ordinator to join the Toronto Argonauts coaching staff.
In 2010, Campbell was the Stampeders running backs coach and the team led the league in rushing yards and carries.
Campbell began his CFL coaching career with the Eskimos in 1999 and was promoted to defensive co-ordinator in 2005, a position he held for four seasons. He was a part of two Grey Cup champion teams over that time.
In 2009, he joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as the defensive backs and special teams co-ordinator, before moving on to the Stampeders and eventually returning to the Eskimos this past season.
