TORONTO -- Toronto's Pan Am Games committee is giving the City of Hamilton and its CFL team what could be their last chance to decide on where to put a new stadium.

The committee says the construction clock is ticking and it needs to move quickly to make sure the stadium is complete by the time the Games begin in 2015.

Pan Am officials say the city and the Tiger-Cats football team have until Oct. 12 to agree on where to put a new stadium.

But officials would not say what the consequences would be if the two cannot make a deal.

They did say the venue plan is not set in stone and the committee would accept a smaller stadium if necessary.

The City of Hamilton and the Tiger-Cats have been trying for months to come to a deal on where to build the stadium.

It would be taken over by the football team once the Games are over.
