Taylor Elgersma is heading to the Canadian Football League.

The Canadian quarterback has signed a deal with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the club announced on Thursday.

Winnipeg drafted the 6-foot-5 pivot with the 18th overall selection in 2025 CFL Canadian Draft.

Elgersma, 24, most recently spent time with the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions of the UFL but did not get into any games due to issues with his work visa.

He has also spent time with the Green Bay Packers of the NFL, taking snaps in three preseason games ahead of the 2025 season.

The Wilfried Laurier Goldenhawks alum won the Hec Crighton Trophy as the top player in USports after throwing for 4,252 yards with 35 touchdowns and 11, also earning 2024 First Team All-Canadian honours in 2024.

He now joins a Blue Bombers quarterback room with two-time Most Outstanding Plyer Zach Collaros.
