KENT, Wash. - Keegan Kolesar scored three times as the Seattle Thunderbirds halted the Victoria Royals' 11-game win streak on Sunday with a 4-2 victory in Western Hockey League action.
Ethan Bear also scored for the Thunderbirds (31-22-3), who won their third game in a row. Ryan Gropp chipped in with two assists.
Tyler Soy and Dante Hannoun responded for the Royals (37-16-5), who entered on a 13-0-1 run and had not lost in regulation time since Jan. 8.
Seattle's Logan Flodell made 33 saves for the win as Coleman Vollrath turned away 23-of-26 shots for Victoria.
The Thunderbirds went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Royals scored once on six chances with the man advantage.

HURRICANES 4 HITMEN 2
CALGARY — Jordy Bellerive and Colton Kroeker each had a goal and an assist as Lethbridge doubled up the Hitmen.
Andrew Nielsen and Carter Folk also scored for the Hurricanes (40-16-1). Jayden Sittler stopped all 16 shots his way for the win after relieving Stuart Skinner, who allowed two goals on eight shots in 27:42 of action.
Jordy Stallard and Matteo Gennaro found the back of the net for Calgary (32-21-3), which got a 28-save outing from Cody Porter.

SILVERTIPS 3 CHIEFS 2
SPOKANE, Wash. — Mario Petit made 22 saves and Graham Millar had a goal and an assist as Everett slipped past the Chiefs.
Noah Juulsen and Brycen Martin also scored for the Silvertips (33-19-4), who snapped a four-game skid.
Markson Bechtold and Dominic Zwerger struck for the Chiefs (27-22-7) as Tyson Verhelst kicked out 22-of-25 shots in defeat.
