{allcanada} OHL: Middleton scores winner as 67's defeat Spitfires

 

OTTAWA - Jacob Middleton's power-play goal early in the third period stood as the winner as the Ottawa 67's slipped past the Windsor Spitfires 2-1 on Sunday for their fourth straight victory in Ontario Hockey League action.

Middleton found the back of the net 4:21 into the third to break a 1-1 tie.

Artur Tyanulin also scored for the 67's (29-23-2), on a power play 9:57 into the game.

Jalen Chatfield had the lone goal for Windsor (31-17-5), which has lost three straight games.

Ottawa's Leo Lazarev earned the win after making 26 saves. Michael DiPietro stopped 18 shots in the losing effort.

STEELHEADS 6 ICEDOGS 2

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Nathan Bastian and Daniel Muzito-Bagenda each scored twice as Mississauga downed the IceDogs.

Alexander Nylander had a goal and an assist and Jason Smith also scored for the Steelheads (27-24-4). Josh Burnside chipped in with three helpers.

Anthony DiFruscia and Brendan Perlini replied for Niagara (27-20-6).

Mississauga's Everett Clark and IceDogs defenceman Aleksander Mikulovich received game misconducts late in the third period.
