The cast of Lauren Iungerich's new Netflix series Poser is rounding out casting with 17 new additions as production begins in Los Angeles.
Joel Oulette (Carrie), Hubert Smielecki (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) and Sarah Abbott (The Body) are joining as series regulars. They will play Nate, Max, and Addison, respectively. They join the previously announced series regulars Daisy Jelley, Sadie Stanley and Annie Murphy.
The new recurring talent includes Barbara Hershey (Strange Darling) as Helen, Emily Chen in her debut will be playing Billie, Ethan Loomis (A Dog's Perfect Christmas) plays Randy, Golden Landis Von Jones aka 24kGoldn, plays Leif, Silvia Dionicio (Task) plays Sonia, and Lauren Donzis (Punky Brewster) plays Zoey. Additional talent includes Christian Finlayson (Grosse Pointe Garden Society) as Bodie, Dior Goodjohn (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) as Margot, Ciara Riley Wilson (Freeridge) as Jane, Julio Macias (On My Block) plays Mr. Cartwright, Adam Beach (Flags of Our Fathers) plays Tim, Beth Riesgraf (Leverage: Redemption) plays Tracy, Michael Trucco (Fire Country) plays Rick, and Nikki DeLoach (Awkward) plays Lacey.
Iungerich is the creator of the TV series Awkward, On My Block, and Freeridge. On Poser, she reunites with three of her former stars: DeLoach, Macias, and Wilson, from the aforementioned shows, respectively.
Poser explores toxic female friendship through the lens of a sexy, emotional thriller. It centers around two estranged, former best friends. When one of them is given a chance to live the life she's long coveted, and maybe get answers as to why they fell out years ago, she finds herself in a psychological game of revenge, betrayal, and heartbreak—ultimately altering their lives, and those around them, forever.
Iungerich serves as the writer and showrunner of Poser, a project that falls under her overall deal at Netflix. She and Jamie Dooner executive produce through her Crazy Cat Lady Entertainment production banner.
