Samsung TV Plus announced a docuseries with Keanu Reeves, live motorcycle racing broadcasts and a groundbreaking Amazon ad partnership during its NewFronts presentation Tuesday in New York.
Hooligans: The ARCH Racing Project features Reeves and Gard Hollinger, who co-founded ARCH Motorcycle with the John Wick star. The six-part docuseries, executive produced by and starring Reeves and Hollinger, tracks ARCH's entry into professional racing. The show will premiere this summer on Samsung TV Plus, becoming the platform's first exclusive docuseries.
Samsung TV Plus is the No. 1 FAST channel on Samsung smart TVs, reaching more than 100 million active users each month around the world.
Also due up on Samsung TV Plus are what the company calls a "top secret, two-hour global live event" starring popular science creator Mark Rober, an inventor and former NASA engineer. Also, dovetailing with the Reeves docuseries, Samsung TV Plus will stream every race in the MotoAmerica motorcycle road racing series in North America during the 2026-27 season.
At the NewFront, Samsung emphasized its ability to leverage live events and interactivity. It noted that a major initiative at last year's NewFront, a live Jonas Brothers concert, drove 26 times higher engagement from an interactive fan poll compared with regular QR code interactions. Samsung is aiming to deliver more of those experiences via partnerships with A+E Global Media, AMC Networks, LiveNOW from Fox, MotoAmerica, Mark Rober TV, TelevisaUnivision and Vevo.
"Live, interactive experiences and creator-led content have become the new engine of TV, bringing authenticity, community, and cultural connection directly into the living room," noted Salek Brodsky, SVP and Global Head of Samsung TV Plus. "As Samsung TV Plus looks to the future, our intention is to create meaningful moments that break through. By delivering can't-miss TV that drives appointment viewing, we'll provide a powerful pathway for brands to connect with deeply engaged audiences."
Samsung also announced a partnership with Amazon Ads to bring Amazon's remote-enabled interactive video ad technology directly to Samsung TV Plus. The deal makes Samsung the first external connected-TV device partner to offer this capability. Amazon has been ramping up deals with its DSP, pacting with Roku, Disney and Netflix over the past year.
Launching in July, the integration enables viewers to take immediate action from their Samsung TV screen. For brands selling on Amazon, "Add to Cart" functionality allows shoppers to purchase directly within their Amazon storefront with a seamless click of the remote. For advertisers who do not sell on Amazon, outcome-driven headlines like "Send to Phone" and "Sign Up Today" extend engagement beyond the TV screen.
