Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty is on the move.

The Athletic's Tom Bogert reports CF Montreal are finalizing a deal to send the Brampton, Ont.-born full-back to Red Bull New York for Venezuela midfielder Wiki Carmona.

A product of the Toronto FC academy, the 21-year-old Marhall-Rutty spent the second half of 2025 on loan with Charlotte FC. He appeared in a combined 30 league games last season, scoring once. Making his pro debut with TFC in 2020, Marshall-Rutty has appeared in 125 MLS games across six seasons with the Reds, CFMTL and Charlotte.

A former Canada youth international, Marshall-Rutty made his senior debut in a January friendly against Guatemala in Los Angeles. Because the game was considered a B-international, Marshall-Rutty did not receive his first Canada cap.

Carmona, 22, originally signed with RNBY in 2021 and made his MLS debut later that year. A native of Valle de la Pascua, Carmona made 39 appearances across all competitions for the team last season. Over five MLS seasons, Carmona has five goals in 102 appearances.

Internationally, Carmona received his first senior cap in a November friendly against Australia.
