Canadian rocker Neil Young said he has decided to cancel his band's upcoming summer tour of Europe.
The rock legend, who celebrated his 80th birthday last November, shared a personal message to fans on his website Friday announcing the cancellation.
"I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time," Young wrote.
"Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I'm sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts."
Young, who is also an American citizen but spends the bulk of his time in Canada with his actress wife Daryl Hannah, signed the note, "LOVE, Neil."
He also wished his fans to "be well" despite the disappointing news.
Tour was set to begin mid-June
The 14-city tour was set to begin in mid-June in Britain before playing for fans in France, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
No other concerts are scheduled for 2026, according to his tour page.
The Chrome Hearts band includes guitarist Micah Nelson, bassist Corey McCormick, drummer Anthony Logerfo and organist Spooner Oldham.
Elvis Costello and the Imposters were set to be the opening act at several shows.
He toured Europe, Canada and the U.S. last year.
Free music to Greenlanders
Just last month, Young offered everyone living in Greenland free access to his music for a year in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's threats to annex the Arctic island.
"I hope my music and music films will ease some of the unwarranted stress and threats you are experiencing from our unpopular and hopefully temporary government," Young wrote, wanting to share his music from the last 62 years.
"It is my sincere wish for you to be able to enjoy all of my music in your beautiful Greenland home, in its highest quality. This is an offer of Peace and Love."
Young said all people from Greenland can renew their free subscription as long as they live on the island.
"We do hope other organizations will follow in the spirit of our example," he added.
