Canada captain Sidney Crosby became the country's all-time leader in points at Olympics featuring NHL players with a second-period goal Sunday against France.
Crosby turned in three points in Canada's preliminary-round finale beatdown of France, giving him 16 total points in his Olympic career. He came into Sunday's contest one point behind Jarome Iginla at 14.
Crosby picked up his first point on a Devon Toews goal in the opening period to tie Iginla. Crosby then picked up the record-breaker on Cale Makar's power-play marker in the second, and added to his total with a goal of his own that made Canada's lead 6-1.
NHL players have been present at the Olympics in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2026.
Crosby had two points in Canada's tournament-opening win over Czechia on Thursday and added a goal in their 5-1 win over Switzerland on Friday.
Canada's 2026 men's team has already won Group A and carries a plus-17 goal differential with 20 total goals-for after Sunday's 10-2 victory.
