STARS (37-17-6) at JETS (25-29-4)

TV: 8 p.m. ET; FS-SW, TSN3, NHL.TV

Season series: The Dallas Stars have won their first three games against the Winnipeg Jets this season. Forward Ales Hemsky scored and had two assists in a 6-3 win on Nov. 12, forward Patrick Sharp scored in the shootout of a 2-1 win on Jan. 7 and center Tyler Seguin scored twice in a 5-3 win on Feb. 2.

Stars team scope: Forward Patrick Eaves (illness) did not practice Monday and is not expected to play, according to the team website. Forward Travis Moen (lower body) practiced after missing the past five games and could play. Dallas has lost three straight games (0-2-1). "We've kind of been the hunted team for quite a while, and now we are down into the stretch where there is a lot of desperation inside games," coach Lindy Ruff told the team website. "Our desperation has to exceed theirs." Hemsky, who has scored in three of his past four games, played with Seguin and left wing Jamie Benn in a 7-3 loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday; Hemsky practiced with Valeri Nichushkin and Mattias Janmark. Ruff has not announced a starting goalie. Kari Lehtonen and Antti Niemi have alternated starts in the past four games and Lehtonen started and made 35 saves on Saturday.

Jets team scope: Center Bryan Little practiced in a non-contact jersey and could play, according to the team website. Little left in the second period of a 6-5 shootout loss at the Tampa Bay Lightning on Feb. 18 after he was hit at mid-ice by defenseman Anton Stralman and has missed one game. Coach Paul Maurice remains optimistic about Little's availability for Tuesday. "We had a good day today," Maurice said. "If he's off, he's not playing. We'll see how he comes back tomorrow. If he's feeling strong, then we're going to put him through a stiffer morning skate, with the idea of preparing him for the game. Then we'll still have to wait until he comes back to the rink [before the game]." Forward Mathieu Perreault did not practice, but Maurice expects that he will play. Winnipeg has lost three straight games (0-2-1).
