{allcanada} OHL: Nattinen scores twice as Colts down Generals

 

BARRIE, Ont. - Julius Nattinen scored twice and David Ovsjannikov made 28 saves as the Barrie Colts downed the Oshawa Generals 6-2 on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Michael Webster had a goal and two assists for the Colts (35-18-2). Dylan Sadowy, Andrew Mangiapane and Cordell James rounded out the attack.

Eric Henderson and Kenny Huether found the back of the net for Oshawa (20-30-7). Justin Nichols turned aside 21 shots in net.

Barrie scored once on four power-play chances while the Generals were 0 for 3.

SPITFIRES 4 BULLDOGS 1

HAMILTON — Logan Brown had a goal and an assist as Windsor beat the Bulldogs to snap a five-game skid.

Christian Fischer, Hayden McCool and Aaron Luchuk supplied the rest of the offence for the Spitfires (32-18-6).

MacKenzie Entwistle scored late in the second period for Hamilton (21-29-7).

GREYHOUNDS 4 SPIRIT 1

SAGINAW, Mich. — Gabe Guertler and Tim Gettinger scored 1:17 apart in the second period to lead Sault Ste. Marie over the Spirit.

Jack Kopacka, on the power play, and Boris Katchouk, shorthanded, also chipped in for the Greyhounds (27-21-7).

Connor Brown responded with a power-play goal late in the third for Saginaw (22-30-6).

ATTACK 4 STORM 1

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Petrus Palmu had a goal and two assists as the Attack downed Guelph.

Santino Centorame and Bryson Cianfrone had power-play goals, with Sean Durzi adding the other for Owen Sound (26-20-10).

Noah Carroll found the back of the net on the power play for the Storm (12-37-6).

KNIGHTS 4 FIREBIRDS 0

FLINT, Mich. — Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitchell Marner had a goal and three assists and Tyler Parsons made 24 saves as London shut out the Firebirds.

Christian Dvorak scored twice and added an assist for the Knights (41-12-3), who won their third in a row. Aaron Berisha had the other while Matthew Tkachuk tacked on three helpers.

Brent Moran kicked out 33 shots in net for Flint (17-33-6).

ICEDOGS 67'S (POSTPONED)

OTTAWA — The 67's game against Niagara was postponed due to unsafe ice conditions. It is rescheduled for Feb. 22.
