The Toronto Maple Leafs have reassigned defenceman Korbinian Holzer to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
The 25-year-old has two goals and one assist with a minus- 12 rating through 22 games with the Maple Leafs this season.
He signed a two-year contract extension with the Maple Leafs on March 5 that will pay him $725,000 next season and $850,000 in 2014-15.
A native of Munich, Holzer has represented Germany internationally, including at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
Toronto selected Holzer in the fourth round, 111th overall, in the 2006 NHL entry draft.
