{allcanada} CANUCKS SIGN F BLOMSTRAND; RECALL SCHROEDER FROM AHL

VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Ludwig Blomstrand to an entry-level contract and have recalled centre Jordan Schroeder from the Chicago Wolves.

The six-foot-one, 198-pound Blomstrand has played 44 games this season in Sweden's second-tier Allsevenkan league. He collected eight penalty minutes in 14 games with Djurgardens and 19 points (13 goals, six assists) in 30 games with Almtuna, ranking third in goals.

The Uppsala, Sweden, native was originally selected by Vancouver in the fourth round, 120th overall, in the 2011 NHL draft.

Schroeder has five points (two goals, three assists) in 22 games with Vancouver this season. He has 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in 33 games with the Wolves.

The Burnsville, Minn., native was originally drafted in the first round, 22nd overall by Vancouver in the 2009 draft.
