SALZGITTER, Germany -- Toronto's Rosannagh MacLennan bounced to a silver medal at the last trampoline World Cup of the season on Saturday.
MacLennan, who qualified eighth and last for the women's final in Friday's preliminaries, improved with a sparkling performance in the final.
"In the prelims I started my routine on a bad bounce and I wanted to make sure I didn't do that again," said MacLennan.
"I told myself to be patient but also to be aggressive, because it's easier to stay in control on the trampoline if you are more aggressive."
Irina Karavaeva of Russia, who led the field in the prelims, won the gold medal and Nataliia Moskvina of the Ukraine took the bronze.
MacLennan's new routine has one of the highest degree of difficulties in the world for women trampolinists, an advantage as long as she is able to consistently complete it without major errors.
"It's not every single time that I can pull out a routine like I did in the finals here, so that's something I'll work on in the next couple of weeks," said MacLennan, who is gearing up for the world championships next month in Metz, France.
