When we were kids, we always suspected there was something weird about some of our babysitters.
In that sense, the new made-for-TV movie My Babysitter's a Vampire -- which debuts Saturday on Teletoon -- works for both young and old.
Despite its network of origin, just to be clear, My Babysitter's a Vampire is not a cartoon. Rather, it's a live-action feature directed by Bruce McDonald that stars Vanessa Morgan as Sarah, a hot 17-year-old babysitter who is in transition between human existence and the blood-sucking world of the undead.
My Babysitter's a Vampire -- which also stars Matthew Knight, Atticus Mitchell, Cameron Kennedy and Kate Todd -- successfully manages to both mock the current vampire craze and cash in on it at the same time.
That's as fine a line to walk as being a vampire babysitter.
