For the third straight day, the Vancouver Canucks have made a trade.
The club acquired defenceman Nathan Paetsch from the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenceman Sean Zimmerman.
The 27-year-old Paetsch split the 2009-10 season with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Buffalo Sabres. He registered two points in 11 games with Buffalo and six penalty minutes in 10 games with Columbus.
In 167 NHL games, the 6'1", 198 lbs. defenceman has registered 42 points (7-35-42), 114 penalty minutes and has a plus-12 rating.
The 23-year-old Zimmerman finished the 2009-10 season with nine points and 105 penalty minutes in 72 games played with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL.
The Canucks will reportedly assigned Paetsch to Manitoba.
